Many of you know that I am starting an online Christian magazine for teen girls. I recently asked several people for their opinion on a magazine name, and the top two choices were Adelfay and Pierce My Heart. I decided to go with Pierce My Heart because that was the top choice among High School girls, which is who the magazine is geared towards, and also because that name is simpler and much easier to remember and find.

I am very very very excited about this magazine, and as of right now I have a volunteer staff of eight people, including myself! I have so many ideas, thoughts, plans, and goals, and I would LOVE to have more help with the magazine. The magazine will be free to anyone who wants to read it, so I will not be able to pay anyone, at least not yet, but it is for a very good cause! We will be spreading God’s word, teaching others about the Christ who died to save us, and also helping to strengthen the faith of teen girls who already are Christians. The first issue is scheduled to be released on May 31, 2008 as it will be a June issue, and there is so much to be done before then! I would like to have a full staff by the end of February, which is in ten days, so please respond soon if you’re interested, or if you know anybody who might be interested. Since the beginning of the year, Alicia and I have been re-evaluating our store and our goals. We have decided to start moving in a slightly different direction than what we’ve been doing. I don’t want to say too much yet, but we won’t be expanding our store any more right now. We will definitely fill all orders that come in, but we won’t be adding new products for awhile because we’re currently working on some other exciting ideas that I hope we can share with the world soon!

My sister-in-law Alicia and I started a web store at www.somethinggirlie.com on March 22, 2007 and we are trying to expand into more than just a store. We want to have somewhere to put recipe’s, craft ideas, family fun ideas, etc. Since my husband Nathan owns a computer business and knows a ton of stuff about computers, he is going to help us set everything up.
